Okay, but not as good as the first one

People hoping to gain an understanding of how to write comic books really couldn't find a better source than "Panel One," the previous volume edited by Nat Gertler collecting comic book scripts and roughs by various creators. "Panel Two" is more of the same, but not as polished. There are more of the "thumbnail" versions of scripts, and some that are so detailed it's almost like reading the comic itself. Standouts in this book are Gail Simone's hilarious script for "Killer Princesses" and Scott McCloud's thumbnail script for "Zot!" (This was one of the super-detailed ones, it had me wanting to find the issue that followed it to find out how the story ended!) Others are interesting, such as the classic "Fatman" script -- but that one, unfortunately, was missing several pages. It was interesting to see the juxtoposition of the original script with the finished pages, however, so we were able to compare what changes the artist had made.
Overall, though, this book doesn't really add much or tell you anything you didn't know after reading "Panel One." It's an interesting addition, and certainly not a bad purchase, but it's not something you need or that helps as much as the previous book.

This was an easy reference book to read. This book provides MORE examples of actual scripts and the processes, which makes it valuable to me! I bought it to go along with "Panel One", which I also enjoyed, but Panel Two would be my favorite.

About the Author
Professor Zhang conducts research on Rock Mechanics, Rock Engineering, Sustainable Geotechnics, Geoenvironmental Engineering and Earthquake Engineering. He received his Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Tongji University, China and in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT, USA. His PhD was received in Geotechnical Engineering from MIT. He has published over 50 articles in international peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences. Currently Prof. Zhang teaches the following courses at graduate level at The University of Arizona:

• Geoenvironmental Engineering

About the Author

Dwayne A. Williams graduated from the Long Island University Physician Assistant program with honors in 2002 and has practiced as a PA ever since. Currently the director of didactic education for his alma mater and an adjunct professor for the Weill Cornell Medical College Physician Assistant program, he also conducts PANCE review courses and serves as a clinical preceptor. He is a member of the Physician Assistant Honor Society Pi Alpha.

Best Question Book (600 Questions) for PANCE and PANRE Preparation

Pros:
1) It's current and relatively new, so the content is not outdated like older question books.
2) It's a question book; 6 sets of 100 questions = 600 questions for you to practice! Will also allow you to time yourself like the PANCE and PANRE.
3) The answers to the questions are short yet concise and is able to teach you the difference among the choices.

Cons: Can't think of any. This is the perfect question book to practice and apply your knowledge before the PANCE and PANRE.

I passed PANCE on the first attempt after using this question book + Comprehensive Review for the Certification and Recertification for Physician Assistants + my own study guide I made from PA School.

So, there is only ONE negative review about this book and it's says that the questions are too hard and don't prepare you. I DO NOT agree with that at ALL. The questions make you think past the initial diagnosis and go to SECOND LEVEL knowledge. It makes you go into the exam feeling SUPER prepared. This question book makes you use your brain and truly checks how well you know topics. It also educates you on multiple topics when you review the answers. It's BY FAR the BEST question book out there. Thank you Dwayne!!

PANCE Prep Pearls and PANCE Question Book are all you'll ever need

I used this book in combination with the PANCE Prep Pearls Book also by Mr Williams to study for my boards this summer. These books were awesome! Not only were these questions similar to those of the real boards, but the author makes it a point to explain why each answer was correct and why the alternate answers were incorrect. To go even more in depth Mr Williams indicates the section and page number that the questions correlate to in the PANCE Prep Pearls Book... this was probably the most beneficial thing of all because it allows you to go back and read more about those topics that you wanted to understand more in depth. I highly recommend both of his books for board study or for just refresher during clinical practice. Needless to say I passed my boards first try and I owe it all to Mr Williams!

Great book series for young readers

My son LOVES all of the Ricky Ricotta Mighty Robot books. He pre-ordered this one with his allowance. As always, he can't put it down. He usually finishes the book on the first day, and this one was no different. Re-reading all week long. Love that there is a book sereies that holds his interest for so long!

The story is silly and immature but that's what kids love. My son has rad the entire series already

Our 4 yo really loves reading this series and has read it several times and even brought it to school to share and trade with class mates. Any book that makes our kids read on their own is worth the price of admission. The story is silly and immature but that's what kids love. My son has rad the entire series already.

Horrible binding

It was hard to rate this entire series because as a story, my students would rate it as a '5-star' but the binding is rotten, '1-star' at best. The books all fell apart within a week. I teach 1-2 multiage so my learners are 6-7 years old and know how to properly handle books. Unfortunately the pages would fall out while reading. Grr.
