It is written like a program scrubbed the internet for Docker articles and compiled them into a "book". It's like in the cartoons where the alien tries to fit in with humans, but its speech patterns are not quite right. Docker is even spelled wrong at one point in the guide. I should have looked at the 5 star reviews closer. They seem suspicious.
I was going to give 2 stars but then a few things struck me.
The docker logo is on the cover. That made me think it was some sort of official. Speaking of official an actual former Docker employee James Turnbull wrote The Docker Book which seems to me to be a source from which this was poorly summarized. Like when you were in grade school and you tried to change the source enough to call it your own. The example paragraphs I found that were very, very similar may have been a coincidence, but I wish I put my $3 towards James' book.

Worst book ever

Worst book ever. It's only a few pages, riddled with typos, and doesn't even get the most basic things right. It lays out basic concepts in the most difficult to read way possible. I cannot recommend this to anyone interested in docker.

Barely a pamphlet and less informative than one

It's about the least informative technical guide I've ever purchased. This book doesn't even come close to getting you started - as others have said, this isn't a real guidebook.
